Franconia Soaring Foundation Joins Key Discussion on Supporting Outdoor Economy with USDA and New Hampshire Delegation

The Franconia Soaring Foundation was recently invited to participate in a Town Hall discussion with USDA’s Deputy Secretary, the VT/NH State Director for USDA Rural Development, and the New Hampshire Congressional Delegation.  The meeting was hosted by Whaleback Mountain Ski Resort which recently received a USDA/NBRC partnership grant similar to what the FSF received in 2022.

The event began with a brief tour of Whaleback’s operations and then shifted into a facilitated conversation intended to give Deputy Secretary Torres Small and the delegation a sense of what federal actions might support the outdoor economy, particularly outdoor recreation.

The Franconia Soaring Foundation, represented by President Tom Ganse, was one of eight activities throughout the state selected to participate in the discussions.
